MOONLIT FABLES

Inspired by the surrealist nature of Mexico, this series explores the dynamic between organic forms and human adornment. This series began at La Gremial studio in Guanajuato, Mexico during a week with VAWAA. It has continued fueled by unique shapes found in flora and fauna, using sharp contrast to draw attention to forms that feel almost other worldly.

While mixing media is Delaney’s main form of silversmithing, she also takes interest in the textural capabilities of smaller silver works. Exploring the shapes and patterns that emerge when casting in cuttlefish skeletons, Delaney connects the layered feeling of marine life to the human body through jewelry
